Argentina goalkeeper Amy Martinez brutally trolled Kylian Mbappe during dressing room celebrations, asking for a ‘moment of silence’.
Mbappe starred for France against Argentina, becoming only the second player in history to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final.
It was in vain, though, as Martinez led the South Americans to a penalty shootout victory after a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Tensions were already high between Mbappe and the Argentine after some controversial comments from the Frenchman in May.
“South American teams have disadvantages because they don’t compete like European teams,” Mbappe previously said.
“A minute’s silence… Mbappe!” 😅

“Argentina and Brazil do not play at a high level to reach the World Cup. Football is not as developed as in Europe. You saw that in the recent World Cup.”
Martinez was asked about those comments before the final, and it seems they were certainly on the minds of Argentina’s players.
“He doesn’t know enough about football,” Martinez said of Mbappe.
“He’s never played in South America. When you don’t have that experience, it’s better not to talk about it. But it doesn’t matter. We’re a great team, recognized as such. goes.”
