The legend of Ansu Fati continues to grow.
After becoming Barca’s youngest-ever La Liga goalscorer, making his Champions League debut – and the competition’s youngest-ever goalscorer after his strike against Inter last December – at 17 The year-old has now been named La Liga’s youngest player of the year winner by Santander. Month Award for his work in September.

After an impressive journey with the national team last month in which, you guessed it, he became Spain’s youngest-ever goalscorer, Fati has started the 2020/21 campaign in style.
The youngster began Ronald Koeman’s tenure in Catalonia with a blistering brace against Villarreal on matchday one as Barca ran out 4-0 winners. His remarkable instincts were then unleashed in La Blaugrana’s next match as he led his side to a 3–0 victory at Celta Vigo.
Fati has emerged as a key member of Koeman’s Barça side, with Sevilla making a concerted effort to slow down the Spaniards when they traveled to the Camp Nou last weekend.

However, despite Sevilla’s success, Fati’s damage in Barca’s opening two games was enough to see him pip six rivals for the position – including the recently departed Luis Suarez.
Iago Aspas, José Luis Morales, Luis Milla, Mikel Merino and Sergio Canales were other contenders, but Fati’s impressive start to 2020/21 meant there would only be one winner.
