Although Real ran out 3-0 winners, they faced a storm at Parkhead as Celtic put them under early pressure.
Lal Abada gave the hosts the lead after about 30 seconds when Callum McGregor hit the post, but Los Blancos kicked into gear in the second half, winning with goals from Vinicius Junior, Luka Modric and Eden Hazard. Received.
“[It was like] Two plays in the first half, i [the] The balance, we faced a little, intensity. In the second half, we had more control, we played really well, we were comfortable on the ball and on the counter-attack,” Ancelotti said.
“We weren’t surprised. We knew they could start with a lot of pace. We were lucky because they hit the post, but after that I think we were good with the ball.
“Even in the first half, we didn’t play fast enough in the final third. In the second half, much better. We needed to improve the pace in the final third and we scored three great goals with the combination.”
