Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been sacked by Rangers.

Rangers have confirmed they have parted ways with manager Giovanni van Bronkhorst.

Appointed as Steven Gerrard’s replacement on 18 November 2021, Van Bronkhorst led Rangers to the Europa League final in his first season but failed to maintain that momentum in the 2022/23 season.

Now, Rangers have confirmed that van Bronkhorst’s time at the club is over.

“Rangers Football Club has today confirmed that it has parted company with manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst,” a statement read. “The Board would like to sincerely thank Geo for all his efforts since his appointment as Manager.
