Jurgen Klopp gave a scathing interview after Liverpool were denied three points by a late Brighton equalizer on Saturday afternoon, hitting out at the Premier League and broadcasters for the tight scheduling of the fixture.
The Reds play Italian side Atalanta on Wednesday evening in the Champions League, and then travel to Brighton for the opening kick-off in this weekend’s fixture rounds.

Klopp’s side drew 1-1 with the Seagulls, disallowing two goals and conceding two penalties. Speaking to BT Sport after the game, the Liverpool boss accused his interviewer of trying to ‘make headlines’ at his expense over decisions made during the match.
“Mo was [offside] With the foot but we are used to winging the pit and club seeds. [being offside]So if it’s Monday, it’s obviously offside. Someone told me that Sadio is right. You try to make a headline at my expense. Always today I say it was a penalty and you are not happy with my answer.”
The interviewer asked Klopp if James Milner really had a hamstring problem in the game, to which the manager replied, “Yes, congratulations.”
“Me personally?” to the interviewer, to which Klopp replied, “No but you work for them, yes? Hamstring, surprise. And they get injuries too because it’s a difficult time.”
Klopp then took aim at Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder, who called the Liverpool boss a ‘world-class politician’ as fans returned to the stadium, accusing him of only caring about his team’s needs. have

“Maybe ask Chris Wilder about that. [BT] Picked up 12.30 kick-off. You did it!
“It’s different if we play at 3pm or 5.30pm. After Wednesday, it’s really dangerous for the players. [to play now]. If you care, why did you turn us against the palace? [about players]?
“When we had the manager’s talk a week ago it was 15/5 if not 16-4 for five subs. Nothing since then. Chris Wilder says I’m selfish. I He seems to be but it’s not that important. I was. In my position in the mains. If you can have five, that’s it. [players]”
The Liverpool manager then explained his desire to have five substitutes at his disposal, and warned that we will see the results of the decision to stick with just three over the winter.

“If we have five subs today, I take Robo off. [Robertson] To save Kostas. It’s not for strategy, it’s to save the players. This is for all players. You will from now until December. We will see.
“You get compliments on your interview because you stick to it. [your point]. I should stop doing this because it doesn’t help. The problem is that we signed the contract but this season it is a big problem, no pre-season, short season etc. It is not right.
“I’m not selfish but I obviously talk about Liverpool FC. Of course for me choosing a team is a problem.”
Liverpool will see him throw away the lead in the dying seconds of the game and drop two points, allowing Tottenham Hotspur to potentially see some daylight at the top of the table.
