Manchester United have confirmed that left-back Luke Shaw will be sidelined for at least a month after suffering a hamstring injury during the recent win over Everton.
Despite United’s difficult start to the season, Shaw has been one of the Red Devils’ most consistent performers, starting every Premier League and Champions League game so far. However, Shaw was last withdrawn against Everton after 67 minutes with a hamstring injury.

United have now confirmed on their official website that the 25-year-old will be out for up to a month after suffering a hamstring injury at Goodison Park on Saturday. The Athletic’s Lori Whitwell, meanwhile, added that the absence could be closer to six weeks.
Shaw suffered a hamstring injury last season, but it is not considered serious. However, there is still enough to keep him out of action in a very busy time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men.
After the 3-1 victory at Everton, Solskjaer expressed his displeasure with the fixture schedule. After playing in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, United were then involved in the first Premier League game of the week. Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp further backed Solskjaer after the 1-1 draw with Manchester City, calling for action to protect players.

As well as losing Shaw, Solskjaer added that Marcus Rashford and Victor Lindelof were also struggling with injuries towards the end of the Everton match. Rashford has been called up to the England squad, but it remains to be seen whether he will withdraw.
With Shaw expected to be out for around a month, he will miss United’s upcoming fixtures against West Brom, Istanbul Basaksehir, Southampton, Paris Saint-Germain, West Ham and RB Leipzig. He could also miss the Manchester derby on December 12.
Summer signing Alex Telles is now back in training after recovering from COVID-19. The Brazilian made his debut for United in the win over PSG but is yet to feature in the Premier League.
