Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Pedro Neto has signed a new five-year contract, keeping him at Molineux until 2025.
One of the club’s growing Portuguese squad, the wide man has usurped a starting berth from Nuno Espirito Santo this season after joining the club from Lazio in August 2019.
The 20-year-old has started each of Wolves’ seven Premier League games so far this term, scoring a brace against Fulham and providing an assist against Sheffield United on the opening day and last out against Crystal Palace.
Portugal’s Under-21s have been rewarded for their display, putting pen to paper on a long-term deal in the Black Country.
Speaking to Wolves’ official website after signing new terms, Neto said: “It’s amazing to be here. I love being here. The family we’re building, all the clubs, it means a lot to me. Well done, so I’m very happy.
“This new contract shows that I am working very hard and I was expecting it because I worked for it. I always work to improve my game, so it comes with it. I work hard every day, so I’m very happy with that, but I’ll keep working now.

“We say that nothing is given to you, so you have to work hard and what I have done in the last year and a half is to work hard every day, improve and learn from my teammates.”
He added: “We go day by day. Improving, working and letting things happen naturally, but I know what I want to achieve. I want to be the best.
“But I don’t think about the future, because the future depends on what you do now, so work every day, learn everything, little things day by day, and I’ll keep doing it. “
The winger has signed a new long-term deal at the club in recent weeks alongside manager Nuno, Conor Cody, Raul Jimenez and Max Kilman.
Neto finished the 2019/20 season with 44 appearances – mainly from the bench – and five goals and assists to his name. It looks like he will top those heights already this time around.
